Cherrelle Swain

Cherrelle Swain is a Washington DC based activist, filmmaker, and entrepreneur committed to enhancing community well-being through philanthropy, storytelling, and creative marketing. Her background is rooted in education, and community development where she has deep experience in strategically connecting people and ideas to identify and solve problems. 

Cherrelle currently serves as the Director of Community Engagement and Strategic Growth at CityBridge Education where she focuses on curating convenings, developing diverse stakeholder networks, and incubating ventures of entrepreneurs of color to advance equitable access and opportunity for Washington DC’s most marginalized students. 

In 2009, Cherrelle co-founded The Next Level Foundation, a grassroots nonprofit organization, with her father, to promote scholarship, education, and athletics among youth in her hometown area, the Twin Cities. The Next Level has assisted 30 first generation college students to secure academic and athletic scholarships to advance higher education. 

As the founder and CEO of Connect Creative Strategy, a community-based creative agency that inspires social progress and change, she leads the groups social impact efforts, audience engagement campaigns, and strategic initiatives to uplift the mission of bold organizations committed to justice across the country. 

She is a Producer for Black Boys Film on NBC Peacock and currently is working on her next project, Black Girls Film. She serves on the Board of Directors of GOODProjects and One World Education.

Cherrelle is fluent in Spanish and holds her BBA in International Business from Howard University and an MBA International Business Strategy from The University of Sevilla.
